Thoughts: I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful just going over some note cards was. I could retrieve the information almost perfectly after only a few times through. The exams in which I used the cards less had lower grades than the exams in which I used the cards more. This shows just how useful the cards can be.

Experiment: Use a mind map, and observe how it affects my retention of the material

Reflection: The mind map was surprisingly helpful. Whenever I studied for Chemistry, I would look over it a few times and was impressed that I could start making connections between the main topic and each of the sub topics. Picturing the map in my head helped me recall the information about which reactions happen under certain conditions. I haven't had an exam over this material yet, but it has helped immensely on the homework.
