Extremely rare matching pair of Bohlin "his and hers" Saddles with all original accessories.

They would be a great addition to any serious collector or anyone wishing to start a Bohlin collection.

Extremely rare matching set of his and hers Bohlin sterling silver saddles.

Without question, these would make a great addition to your collection or for those who wish to start a collection.

Custom crafted by Edward H. Bohlin.

These saddles can be found in the 1941 Bohlin catalog on page 50 the "Lee Douglas" saddle.

Both have their original Bohlin breast collars, coronas and headstalls.

Without question, these saddles illustrate both aspects of the finest in Bohlin craftsmanship, the leather carving and the exquisite silver engraving, accented with various exclusive Bohlin figurines.

Custom created by Edward H. Bohlin, they can be found in the 1941 Bohlin catalog called the "Lee Douglas Saddle" on page 50.

As often as it is the case of being customized by Ed Bohlin, he accommodated the client by using the horn style of the Bohlin "El Camino" model saddle, found in the same 1941 catalog on page 78. Also instead of the standard martingale, he went with a breast collar with uprights, all original and clearly stamped.

From the 1941 Bohlin catalog.

In the photos below are closeups from these two timeless treasures that clearly illustrate why Bohlin saddles were and will always be the King of the Silver Saddle creators from the era of the "Greatest Generation."

Overall in Great "original" condition.

That being said, there are a few concerns that I believe the next owners of these timeless treasures may possibly feel they need to address:

  • The coronas are Bohlin originals and clearly marked. The rims are in good shape "For Display" but the carpets are seriously deteriorated.
  • The original black leather dye has faded and should be re-dyed and conditioned.
  • The saddles both have nice Visalia Stock Saddle headstall bits and not Bohlin.
