Knightly Knews Friday, April 27, 2018

We finish another great and busy week at Smith. Troybery 2018 wrapped up today with Refugee winning the top book honors. Thank you to Mrs. Chatel for all of her work with Troybery this year--and to our parents who helped with the ceremony today. So many students are inspired to read through this wonderful program.

Kerry Birmingham sent an email Wednesday morning with a link to a survey on characteristics you would like to see in the next Smith MS Principal. Thank you for taking a few minutes to provide your input as the District begins the hiring process. Deadline for the survey is Monday.

Good luck to our Science Olympians who are competing in the State Competition tomorrow at MSU. Also, good luck to our 8th graders who are competing in the National History Day State Competition in Bay City tomorrow. Go get 'em, Knights!

TSD Certificates of Excellence were given to students who have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher for all three card markings in the 2017-2018 school year to take home. Congratulations to all of our students for their hard work!

8th Graders have completed their M-STEP testing (with the exception of a few make-ups). 6th graders are next--parents, thank you for helping your 6th grader come to school with his/her iPad fully charged next week!

Information and activities taking place at school next week are listed below. Enjoy your weekend!
