Good Life Nature Activity By dylan Lyden

Nature on Display: This butterfly garden was the first I had ever been in, so I was immediately excited when I entered. The design of the display was very nice as butterflies would literally land on you. I learned that insects aren't always nuisances, and they can be very elegant.
Nature and Ethics: This particular exhibit stood out to me because it showed how humans have used nature and claimed it. This exhibit provided a way to observe what Leopold stated we should strive against. I personally felt a deeper sense of appreciation for natural lands because this showed what people in the past fought over and strived to claim what was theirs.
Nature and the Human Spirit: The Natural History Museum provides several opportunities to observe the universe's majesty, and above is a specific example that drew my attention. The size of the fossilized ancient sharks compared to the great white shark is massive. There were several fossils at the museum that put my size into perspective. It shows how the Earth used to be filled with massive creatures that could have easily dominated mankind.
