Soak up the scenery from your seat in a state-of-the-art helicopter, and then touch down in a lush location featured in a variety of well-known movies. The cost is $329 a person.
A famous tourist attraction here in Oahu is the Pearl Harbor & Arizona Memorial where you can explore informative museum displays, climb aboard a US Navy launch ship, and drive through historic Honolulu with a knowledgeable guide. The tour cost 41$.
The are alot of ways to get around Oahu. The local bus system is known as TheBus. It is inexpensive, with adult fares being only $2.50 per ride, transfers allowed, and seniors, children disabled individuals offered half price rates. The trolley, which is reminiscent of the famous cable cars of San Francisco, takes tourists to all of the popular destinations and provides information about the area.
Oahu has a very interesting native history. In 1795, King Kamehameha I led his forces in the legendary Battle of Nuuanu, this pivotal battle resulted in the conquering of Oahu and the eventual unification of the Hawaiian Islands under one rule in 1810. King Kamehameha III (Kauikeaouli) permanently established the Hawaiian Kingdom’s government on Oahu. On the morning of December 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy attacked Pearl Harbor pushing America into World War II. In 1959, Hawaii became the 50th state of the United States.
The total cost of the trip will be around $4300 already including extra money for food and shopping.
