Traditional Worship E-Bulletin January 19, 2020

Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat – I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how… Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self.

Luke 9:23-24

"The notion of covenant emphasizes the relational and communal aspect to life, expressed in human relationships and in humanity’s relationship with the rest of creation. We do not live to ourselves but in mutual commitment … our human action in covenant is an imitation of God’s action in covenant…" - John Goldingay

Life Under the Cross

Bring a Group to... Upcoming Young Adult Study // Wednesday, January 8, 6:00 pm - Young adults often name certain attitudes and behaviors they believe are practiced too often by Christians: judging others, condemning people of other faiths, rejecting science, injecting politics into faith, & being anti-homosexual. Join us for this 6-week study on "When Christians Get It Wrong," by Adam Hamilton as we explore a different way of understanding the issues that keep people away from Christianity and keep Christians from living a more compelling faith.
