The African Marketplace is pleased to invite you to join us for an exciting Afro-Cuban exploration in Havana and Matanzas on May 25 - 31, 2022. We will hear the hottest Afro-Cuban music and see the most evocative contemporary art. We will participate in a specially curated tour of the sights, sounds, and experiences of the dance, architecture, history, and cuisine that have made Havana a visitor’s paradise. We will also focus on Cuba's growing private sector and strong entrepreneurial spirit as we visit small Black-owned businesses learn about the growing economic opportunities there.
Our good friend Adolfo Nodal of Project Por Amor gets us behind the scenes with a spectacular itinerary from his close personal connections in Havana. We'll take a full-day excursion to the city of Matanzas, also known as the cradle of Afro-Cuban culture, and get to know brilliant Afro-Cuban artists and entrepreneurs of the unique city of Havana at its best.
