Stuttgart For car loverS

Stuttgart, Einstein's birthplace, is a city where nature meets technology and tradition meets innovation. It successfully combines the vibrancy of city life with a wealth of cultural attractions. Two outstanding automotive museums, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz, are part of the treasures that the regional capital of Baden-Württemberg has to offer.

The Mercedes-Benz museum is the only museum in the world that can document in a single continuous timeline the 130 years of auto industry history from its very beginnings to the present day. On nine levels and covering a floor space of 16,500 square metres, the museum presents 160 vehicles and over 1,500 exhibits.
The Porsche museum is a close-up experience of the history of Porsche. Legendary racing and sports cars, fascinating production models as well as unusual prototypes are all there for the most enthusiastic fans. More than 80 vehicles take the visitor from the early years all the way to the present days of Porsche’s history.

Stuttgart has been closely associated with the automobile since 1886. The modern car was invented there. The Stuttgart region is home to two famous car manufacturers, Daimler and Porsche, celebrated at the spectacular Mercedes-Benz and Porsche museums, that take visitors through more than 125 years of automotive history.

A fascinating experience!

Here is a little slideshow and photo album I made on the spot, together with this webpage to describe these two fascinating places.

A "must" for all car fans!
