Buckeyes Conclude Spring
The team finished up a great spring season playing in a tournament at Youngstown State April 21st. This semester we featured a “Win the Moment” board to track progress in all skills each day. Rising Sophomore Middle Blocker Lauren Witte emerged as the winner over the course of 9 weeks! The girls are excited to get back in the gym this summer as they prepare for Big Ten competition this fall. Be sure to check out our 2018 schedule – See you in St. John Arena!
Two More Sign On For 2018
6’6 Opposite Vanja Bukilic (Belgrade, Serbia) and local Defensive Specialist Camryn Moeller (Troy, Ohio) are set to join the Ohio State Volleyball Family in June. Vanja and Camryn are a great addition to the 2018 class including Mia Grunze and Adria Powell as well as senior transfer Olivia Dailey. We are excited to have these Buckeyes on campus soon!
2017 Season Banquet
On April 14th we celebrated the 2017 season with our annual banquet at The Blackwell. It was a fun sendoff for our seniors as they prepare for life after scarlet and gray. Ashley Wenz will continue her volleyball career in the sand at Arizona State, Luisa Schirmer is playing professionally in Belgium and will be back to finish her Engineering degree while Kalisha Goree is getting started in the coaching world. Following the banquet, the team competed against Cleveland State in a sand volleyball tournament with Ohio State’s Becca Mauer and Bia Franklin emerging as tournament champions!
