Headteacher Comment

I am so proud of our school community! You have all been so incredibly generous and donated an incredible amount of produce for the local Food Bank. I know that Mrs Willmott is delighted too and, instead of needing one or two Year Six helpers, she had to find a whole army of helpers to take the bags and boxes stacked with food to the Food Bank. Charity giving and supporting others are important parts of how we help every child grow and be the best they can be, so please look out for information about a Christmas appeal we will be supporting too. Every contribution helps to make some else's life a bit better.

I'd also like to remind you that school finishes for our first ever two-week half term holiday next Friday (15th October). I am looking forward to awarding the first set of Headteacher Awards in assembly and I know that Mrs Wensley is busy organising the Headteacher's Treat for everyone who has 'Gone for Green' in style!

Have a lovely weekend

These are a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher, find out what your child is learning about this year and to also ask any questions you may have. It has been great to see lots of families already joining their meetings this week, so thank you for taking the time out of your evenings to do this. If you are not able to join your child's class meeting, the recordings has been posted on Google Classroom for you to watch back. We are also continuing to run our in-person school visits next week, so please let the office know if you would like a tour.

Wow - Just Wow!

Thank you Greenfields!

I was so impressed with how much you donated for the Highfield Road food bank. The pictures don’t do justice to how much is actually there. Thank you to the Junior Leadership Team for helping us deliver it all, and to all the families who contributed.

Research shows that children who feel prepared for the coming week are less anxious about school, happier to get up and go on a Monday morning and achieve better than those who are not.
