Trevor Rice Adventurer. Student. Believer.

Always keep pushing.

First off, I would like to introduce myself as a person who loves to meet new people and explore new places. With this being said, I enjoy traveling and experiencing things that are foreign to me. Being from a small town growing up, I became accustomed to seeing the same ol things and the same people.I'm from the small town of Mars Hill, which is tucked into the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. If I was meeting you for the first time, I probably would just tell you that I'm from Asheville so I wouldn't have to explain where Mars Hill is, considering most people know of Asheville. A few things I like to do in my spare time are rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, and playing sports .

Growing up in such a small town has really given me a drive to go out into the world and see as many different things as possible. I love being in an environment that is totally new to me. Being a student in College, you often get this feeling. I am currently a server at a prestigious golf club in Bristol, Virginia named The Olde Farm. Ive been working there ever since the beginiing of summer and I have really grown to like it seeing as though it is my first serving job. Working at such an exclusive place, Ive been able to serve CEOs of Fortune 500 compaines, sports legends, and even a couple members of congress. Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Wayne Huizenga, and Mitch McConnell are just a few of the people. Being aroudn these types of people and seeing the way they live has given me the motivation to be successful.

Being a working college student entails a lot of responsibilities such as keeping up with assignments that are due, as well as working well over 20 hours a week. I am currently a Junior and majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising. I have only spent one semester taking these classes, since I changed my major last year. I had originally came into college as Pre-Physical Therapy, but like most students, I decided to change my major. With the classes that I have taken so far, I have become very interested in the field of Mass Communications. I feel like it really fits who I am considering I love to interact and communicate with other people. Human interaction has always intrigued me for some reason. I believe that by taking this class I will be able to further my skill sets in the field that I plan on making my career. After I graduate from ETSU, I plan to go and work for an advertising firm and begin my life in the world of Mass Communications.
