Holiday Boutique at the SJCOE SELPA students gain valuable skills making, selling holiday gifts

Special education students from across San Joaquin County sold gifts at the Second Annual Entrepreneurial Business Holiday Boutique.

Everything for sale was student-made.

There were crafts and decorations.

And treats.

Students helped shoppers pick gifts.

Every gift had a story.

Students handled transactions, kept track of inventory, and made change.

Teachers and aides helped.

The event taught students valuable skills that will help them live more independently.

The Entrepreneurial Business Holiday Boutique is part of the WorkAbility I program.

The program is provided through the San Joaquin County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), part of the San Joaquin County Office of Education.
