Parking outside school

Recently we have received a number of complaints from local residents who have had their driveways blocked at the start and end of the day as our families do the school run. We completely understand how difficult it can be but can we please ask that you don't block any driveway or access road.

Can we also ask that you park a safe distance away from the pedestrian crossing so those who are using this have a clear view of the road and any traffic.

Updates and reminders

Isolating after close contact

Can we please remind all our families that if a bubble is closed, or if you have been contacted via track and trace, that you have to isolate for the stated period. For children in Class 5 this means that children need to self isolate until the end of Wednesday 7th July. It is only the child who needs to isolate as they have been in 'close contact' with someone who has tested positive for COVID. If anyone in the house develops symptoms then they need to get a PCR test and isolate until they receive that result.

Sports Days

Sports days will be taking place next week with the exception of Lower Key Stage 2 after we had to close one of the classes. Children should come to school in their P.E kit and can you please make sure they have a water bottle and a sun hat.

  • Monday 5th July - Classes 9, 8 & 7
  • Wednesday 7th July - EYFS
  • Thursday 8th July - Classes 1, 2 &3
  • Wednesday 14th July - Classes 4, 5 and 6

Classes for next year

Staff have been working through class lists for next year and these will be shared with children and parents next week as well as the adults working in each class. There will be three mixed classes for each phase with the exception of Early Years.

Early years will be split into the two age groups with all the FS2 children in one room and the FS1 children in a separate room. There will be three mixed Yr 1 / 2 classes, three mixed Yr 3 / 4 classes and three mixed Yr 5 / 6 classes. These classes have not been based on any child's academic ability.

Transition days

These will be taking place on the 19th and 20th July. Full details will be sent out closer to the time in terms of collection and drop off times.

Beat the Street - SQP style

The closing date for entries to be returned is Friday 9th July. Good luck everyone.

Flu vaccination scheme

We have been informed that the NHS will be offering flu vaccinations for pupils in the next academic year. More information will follow closer to the time.
