Happy Thanksgiving!
Looking out our window and watching the snow come down makes us better understand why Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving mid-October. It is a little strange this week with the absence of the typical Thanksgiving buzz that seems to appropriately inaugurate Advent. As the picture below alludes, we’ve been pre-celebrating Christmas for a few weeks now. But this is just a simple cultural adjustment.
We give thanks to you, Oh God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wonderful deeds. Psalm 75:1
Reflecting on this verse, we are thankful to God for your partnership in the gospel. We appreciate your prayers, and we love receiving your kind notes and emails! Seriously, even though mail takes about 2-3 weeks to arrive from the U.S., it is often the highlight of our day to check the mail in case a letter has come in. Our ministry here would not be possible without your support and encouragement. Thank you!
Prayer Requests
Pray for Josh as he has been battling regular headaches from the constant pressure change due to the climate.
Pray for our network pastors as they labor in gospel ministry during these cold winter months.
Pray for Allison and the kids as they persevere in homeschooling - there are a couple personality clashes ;)
Continue to pray for stronger collaboration of churches for gospel saturation in our city.
Pray for our network leadership as we try to logistically prepare for a record number of mission teams this coming summer.
