Know how to use equipment properly - manuals for kitchen equipment are located on the side of the fridge

Clean up after yourself - dishes, microwave, spills

Personal food cannot be stored in cabinets

Label your personal food in the fridge - remember

Fridge will be cleaned out on Tuesdays after 4pm

Never use harsh chemicals or cleaners on stainless steel. Use soap and water or stainless steel cleaner only

Take the time to put things away in the proper place

Store left over event ingredients on the top left shelf of fridge - Also look here when making your shopping list

Always wear gloves when preparing and serving food

The storage room is very tight – This means everything MUST be put back in its proper place

Don’t buy what we already have

Remember: Storage is limited

Set Up

Only use scotch and masking tape on walls

No tape on the floor

Have the event set up 30 minutes before start time

Have signage out as soon as possible

Clean Up

Clean Up Captains

Remove ALL remnants of tape, streamers, posters and décor from walls & ceiling

Be gentle peeling off tape

Organize & neatly put décor back into boxes

Adding to inventory

Student Worker Office - Clean up ALL - supplies, projects, props

Turn off helium tank

Return any borrowed items exactly the way you found it.

DO NOT leave event materials for others to clean up

Culture in the Kitchen

Discussion Forum about interracial Unions and blended Families with Loving Day Founder Ken Tanabe, who will moderate a one hour discussion. Highlights will be shown from Civil Rights case Loving VS Virginia.

End of the year celebration to mimic an African American family barbecue and the traditions, including but not limited to family t-shirts, soul food cooking, and a DJ. SVP requested to be invited.
