"DC is amazing so far! I work great and thrive in a fast paced environment so I feel very comfortable in the city. I am lucky enough to live fifteen minutes away from my office in the Capital, and I have still not gotten used to walking past the Capital everyday. I am in so much awe living here and feel so inspired. My internship on the Committee is awesome so far, I love hearing all the different experiences of the professionals in the office and can learn so much from them. I am excited for all the opportunities to come that I have with the Committee and look forward to learning and living so much more!" - Leah Milhander
"The D.C. program at Cal State Fullerton is probably the best decision I have ever made for my future. It is inspirational to be walking to my internship and casually be passing right next to the White House. I can feel the rich history and culture of the nation as I walk through the streets of D.C. My internship program really provides me with meaningful work that is 100 percent going to advance me in my career. I don’t doubt that every experience that I am living in D.C. will contribute to my success in the future." - Elizabeth Rojo
"Throughout these past two weeks, I have grown to love the professional behavior and culture of Washington D.C. Most notably, however, is the experience I have had in my internship thus far. I am currently interning at the United Nations Foundation, and throughout these past few days, there has not been a moment where I am not discussing international issues such as the global refugee crisis, climate change, gender inequality, and so much more. I have helped facilitate discussions, interview important staff members, and outreach to community members on what the United Nations is doing at home and abroad. I look forward to the many future opportunities that are yet to come!" - Marco Sanchez
