Who is Jack the Ripper? Make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom when done

Do you know who Jack the Ripper is? He was a Infamous killer in 1888 of the impoverished district of Whitechapel. He murdered five women under the name Jack the Ripper so Carol Oates, an author of a book about Jack, said “The city that reeked of death”.

In 1888 there were five victims that the Ripper killed and all of them are known. The victims names were Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, and Mary Jane Kelly they were known as the "canonical five" because they were the victims in the Ripper’s. Their case separates them from the other six who were killed by other people and the way he killed them which was mutilation.

The Identity of the Ripper

For many years the police and people have been trying to find out who the Ripper was so these were all the suspects. The first time the Ripper striked no one knew who he was but slowly after more murders the would guess suspects which were Montague John Druitt, George Chapman Aaron Kosminski, Michael Ostrog, John Pizer, James Thomas Sadler, Francis Tumblety, William and Henry Bury were accused of being the Ripper but the closest to the Ripper was Aaron Kosminski but was never confirmed to be the Ripper.

When and Why did he stop killing

Jack the Ripper stopped killing on September tenth which most people predict that he stopped killing to throw off the police because he wrote to the police where he lived “What fools the police are. I even give them the name of the street where I am living. Prince William Street”

One of Jacks letters

In conclusion the Ripper’s identity is still unknown by the people of London and the world which is why Jack the Ripper is still one of the most horrific murderers of all time.
