Welcome to Our Savior Hawaii's Online Sunday School! Making music to God is one way we can give thanks to God for His amazing love. We can also sing to each other to remind us of God's love and encourage others. What is your favorite song?
- What was the best moment of the last week for you? The worst?
- How did you see God at work in the last week? What is your God sighting?
Sing and Dance
Hallelujah is a Hebrew word meaning praise God.
Ephesians 5:18b-20 CSB “Be filled by the Spirit: speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music with your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
In Ephesians, Paul reminded people of Jesus' love for all of us. He also reminded the Ephesians to be full of kindness, love, and praises to God. He reminded them to think of God, to be filled with God’s Spirit, and to sing songs of praise together. We can do those things, too!
It is amazing to sing and make music with other people and be reminded of God's amazing love. Recently, we haven't been able to sing in church, but we can still praise God anytime and anywhere The Bible is filled with examples of how we can praise God. The book of Psalms is often considered the songbook of the Bible. Take a look and see if you recognize any lyrics to songs you sing in the book.
