Skeletal system By:easton

Did you know that you had 270 bones in your body when you where born?

But by the time you reach age 30 you will only have 206?

This is because our bones slowly fuse together over time!

Your bones are filled with a fatty substance called bone marrow.

Periosteum is a thin tissue that covers bone and contains nerves and blood vessels.

They determine how tall you will become. By the age of 16 girls are likely to stop growing. For boys it is 18.

Cartilage is soft, it connects tissue to the end of some bones.

Ligament is a tough fiber that connects bones together.

Take a quiz and test what you have learned!
