UCR Library is:
Committed
We are passionate about supporting UC Riverside’s commitment to academic excellence across all fields of study.
Accessible
We provide everyone who comes to the library with the optimal level of access to the vast resources we offer, both in-person and online.
Service-oriented
We listen, understand, and adapt to ensure that our user experience serves the diverse research, intellectual, and learning needs of our community to the best of our ability.
Collaborative
We provide guidance and information to everyone who requests our help, and we offer assistance to those who appear to be in need of scholarly advice, but we never force our services or opinions on others.
Diverse
We respect and celebrate the diversity found among our team, individuals at the library, and throughout the community we serve.
Adaptable
We take informed risks to strategically enhance services, expand research capabilities, and engage our community.
Empowering
We believe that knowledge empowers people to achieve their goals, and that individual accomplishments support the greater good.
UCR Library empowers positive change by bringing diverse individuals together as a community and providing them with information and resources to advance research, education, and innovation.
Our students thrive because of the generous support provided by alumni, friends, and academic partners.
While we increasingly bring the world's information to the UCR community via digital resources, we remain committed to building collections supporting the full-range of academic inquiry on campus in the formats most appropriate for the academic success of our community members.
Our collections include more than 3 million print volumes, nearly 500,000 e-books, and 143,000 serials.
We also provide access to hundreds of databases and state-of-the-art information technology.
These resources are made accessible through our four locations:
- Tomás Rivera Library
- Orbach Science Library
- Music Library
- Special Collections & University Archives
