OLYMPIAD AN OFFICIAL SPORTS PUBLICATION OF THE GENERAL ACADEMIC STRAND

OLYM-PI-AD (noun) / ë-łim-pē-ad,ō-/

An Olympiad (Greek: Ὀλυμπιάς, olympiás) is a period of four years associated with the Olympic Games of the Ancient Greeks. Wherein contestants would be matched against the other greats of the region in order to compete for the battle of the fittest among different sports. It is also an official sports publication of the General Academic strand of the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School for students who represent the school in different inter-school competitions such as the UAAP and the like. Our aim is to highlight those students who have experiences on what it is like to be a student athlete in order to balance academics and extra curricular activities, or what we call "Mens sana in corpore sano", which means " A sound mind and a sound body". In the General Academic strand we practice diversity in all things, in order to excel in what we do.
