Extended Summer Completion
Dear Patriot Parents:
Pike Road Middle School is pleased to announce plans for our extended summer completion program. This is an opportunity for students who have earned an incomplete in any core course to complete that course and receive a grade, for full credit. Students will be allowed to complete courses via the Summit Learning Platform (grades 7-11) or Edmentum (grades 5-6).
Learners will be assigned ONLY the standards that they failed to master during Fall and Spring terms, and will be able to complete their course once they have shown mastery of those standards.
Our completion program will run from June 3rd-June 27th (Monday-Thursday), from 8:00 am - Noon. The cost will be $100.00 per week. Students will need to attend until their course(s) are complete, for up to four weeks.
Registration is required and payment will be due each Monday prior to attending sessions. Registration information will be emailed to all parents and PRMS students on Monday, May 13th. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the main office at (334)420-5360.
Course Request Forms
Course request forms will be sent home with students Thursday, May 9th and should be returned no later than May 16th. PRMS will be moving to a four block day which will include an enrichment/intervention period in addition to regularly scheduled specials classes.
All students will rotate through all 3 specials offerings over the course of the school year. In addition to specials students will be able to select an enrichment or intervention activity to participate in for the year. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
Yearbooks are here and will distributed on Wednesday, May 8th. We will have a signing day for students to sign each other's yearbooks on Thursday, May 9th.
