Vincent Van Eck (So)

Van Eck started things off for "The Nook", with an impressive fourth place finish in the F/S Boys Race. Vince ran a 16:34 for 5K over a challenging course.

Jason Hoffman (Jr)

Next up was Jason Hoffman (Jr) in the Open Boys Invitational. Jason ran a 16:55 to finish in 49th place overall out of 1048 runners. Due to such large numbers, they had to run two sections of the open boys race and then they combined the results.

Open Girls Race

In the Girls Open Invitational, "The Nook" had four athletes step to the line. Brooke Wlodek (Fr), was the top Minooka finisher in 87th place with a time of 20:49. Kaylee Ratcliff (107th, 21:03), Meadow Zomparelli (150th, 21:23), and Amanda Wilson (154th, 21:25), all finished in the top 30% of the 514 runner field!

The Nook Finishes 5th!

The Nook Finishes An Impressive 5th Place in the Nike Cross Regionals! There were 28 teams allowed into the championship race. The Midwest Regional is made up of teams from Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, and Michigan. The top 2 teams automatically make it to Portland, Oregon for the Nike Cross National Championship. The 3rd and 4th place teams can be selected for one of 4 at-large bids available. Vivian Van Eck led the charge with a 20th place finish in 18:15. Julia Dames (18:45, 54th), Jocelyn Host (19:06, 84th), Alyssa Hrusosky (19:33, 112th), Kate Gall (20:17, 189), Kathryn Cichon (20:24, 200th), and Mary Rushing (21:19, 250th), all closed their season with some incredible efforts. Congrats to this group on a spectacular season!
