Rwanda is a country located in the middle of Africa. It has a population of 11,689,696 and is the 150th largest nation in the world.

From April 7- July 15, 1994, the Ethnic group, the Tutsi's were a target of mass manslaughter. Members of the Hutu ethnic majority in the east-central African nation of Rwanda murdered as many as 800,000 people, mostly of the Tutsi minority.

The cause of the mass genocide of the Tutsi people was caused by the Hutu's feeling threatened by the Tutsi's. The Belgians thought of the Tutsi's as a superior group of people, because they were the majority population. The Hutu's thought they had most power and felt resented the Tutsi's because of this.

The genocide had a time span of only 100 days.

Most of the killings of the Tutsi's was carried out by two Hutu militant groups.
