Life after colonization

  • Port cities were open for the use of the trading of slaves
  • Slaves used to farm cotton and cocoa
  • The navies controler the coast

Why?

  • In 1900 the Royal Niger Company's charter was revoked, as a result britian invaded and colonized
  • Nigeria was rich in natural resources like oil
  • Because of the new age of exploration European countries were racing for new land in Africa
