LGBT Rights Matthew a.

The LGBT community or GLBT community, also referred to as the gay community, is a loosely defined grouping of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) and LGBT-supportive people, organizations, and subcultures, united by a common culture and social movements. These communities generally celebrate pride, diversity, individuality, and sexuality. LGBT activists and sociologists see LGBT community-building as a counterbalance to homophobia and conformist pressures that exist in the larger society.

There are many ways to help and be supportive of LGBT members, and many ways to learn how to do that. You can go online and see ways to help, or if you have LGBT friends or family, ask them how to be friendlier towards LGBT members, This website is a helpful source on how to be LGBT friendly, and you can visit here. Since I am part of this community, i stand for it. I think they are treated unfairly, and people should know more. Its just as easy to accept them as it is to hate them, and people should try to accept it, since they are also human. Other people need to realize they cant change how people feel, and should just accept it.
