Welcome to Our Savior Hawaii's Online Sunday School! Today, is the second Sunday in Lent. Throughout Lent, we're journeying through the Bible and exploring stories of God's promises and presence in our lives. Let's begin!
- What was the best moment of the last week for you? The worst?
- How did you see God at work in the last week? What is your God sighting?

Today's story is about another one of God's covenants, or promises. Today, we hear about the promises God makes to Abraham. Abraham had faith. He trusted in God to keep His promises. God promises three things to him:
- Abraham will have a big family.
- His family will have lots of land and be a nation.
- His family would be famous. A king would be a part of it.
Genesis 17:1-8 CSB When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am El Shaddai. Walk with me and be trustworthy. I will make a covenant between us and I will give you many, many descendants.” Abram fell on his face, and God said to him, “But me, my covenant is with you; you will be the ancestor of many nations. And because I have made you the ancestor of many nations, your name will no longer be Abram but Abraham. I will make you very fertile. I will produce nations from you, and kings will come from you. I will set up my covenant with you and your descendants after you in every generation as an enduring covenant. I will be your God and your descendants’ God after you. I will give you and your descendants the land in which you are immigrants, the whole land of Canaan, as an enduring possession. And I will be their God.”
Like Abraham, we put our faith and trust in God's promises! Because of Jesus, we have a place in the family of God.
