So first i want to teach you about pure substances a pure substance is made up of the same atom or molecule. A pure substance is also made up of two things elements and compounds. A element is a substance that is made entirely up of 1 atom, like hydrogen and nitrogen now lets talk about compounds, compounds are thing's that are composed of two or more separate elements here is an example water or hydrogen oxide and remember the difference between elements and compounds is elements are made up of the same atom while compounds use different atoms or two or more different elements. here is a short video on elements and compounds.
Now that i have told you about the first branch time for the second branch homogeneous mixtures a homogeneous mixture contains two or more substances blended evenly throughout though you cannot see the different substances in a homogeneous mixture like when you pour soda into a glass then it starts to bubble which causes you not to be able to tell the substances apart now a homogeneous mixture only has one branch and that is a solution a solution is a homogeneous mixture of particles so small that they cannot be seen without a microscope and will never settle to the bottom and they will stay evenly mixed.here is a video over homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures to review over what we just learned
Now that i have answered your question on what is matter what is the next question you have for me ?
