Viola Davis is a amazing black actress who starred in many films and shows such as How to Get Away with Murder, Suicide Squad, Help, Fences, etc. She stared in so many movies its hard to count. It's so amazing how she brings so much emotion and attitude in any role.


She was nominated for three Academy Awards and won one award. Mrs. Davis also was the first black actress to win the Triple Crown of acting. That award meant so much to her because she worked so hard to get to where she is now

Background story

Viola Davis grew up poor in Rhode Island, where her father worked on racetracks and was a horse groomer. She started to love acting in high school and further her education at Rhode island College, getting her degree in theater in 1988. She began making a name for herself in New York playing in the comedy Seven Guitars in '96 where she won her first Tony Award. The fact this wonderful woman come from nothing ended being the biggest star in Hollywood shows anything is possible.
