Hi everyone! We just finished our 9th week of lecture with our students! This last week our speaker spoke on relationships. It's been a very busy month being with our students in class, preparing to lead a team on a two and a half month outreach, and our fall DTS just returned from their outreaches and graduated.
It's been amazing to watch God work in each of our students and how much they have grown since they got here in January. It's been a really good season for me too as I have grown in my leadership skills and my own personal relationship with the Lord.
We have 7 students in our worship focus that I help lead. We just recently had some guest speakers come and teach and train us in song writing for a week. We split into three different song writing groups and as a group wrote a worship song based off of a passage of scripture that we were assigned. It was cool to see how we were able to write a song from what God was speaking to each of us individually and through His Word.
April 4 my team heads to Athens, Greece for about two and a half months! While we are there, we will be teaching english to refugees 3-4 mornings a week, we will be working with a church doing some children's ministry, and working at a soup kitchen that a pastor runs to feed refugees. We have been busy preparing and taking some english teaching training classes so that we can teach well when we get there.
We have 17 people on my team (3 leaders, 5 children, and 9 students). We were able to find a beautiful home that our whole team will be staying in, and it even has a yard which will be nice for all the kids to play in. We are so excited for this opportunity and how the Lord is going to use us!
