Grace Untold Walk to south africa

I have finally arrived! It has been quite the two years, but I am finally planted firmly on South African soil.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think this is where I would end up at the age of 25, but God has been so good. I love that we as individuals have certain expectations for what our lives will entail, but when we think of it that way doesn't it mean our lives are in our authority? The reality of life is we don't know. We don't know what tomorrow will hold, we don't know what next week will hold and we don't know what next year will hold.
The beauty in saying all this is amazing that we don't have to know. I say this because in not knowing, God is given more power. Better than that, the God with that power and control is so good and loves better than I could or anyone else. Personally, I'm happy my future isn't in my control....
This being all said, I don't know what God has for me this next year, but I'm so excited to find out!

Now I would love to show you in pictures what has been happening :)

The trip that took 3 days instead of 2....did I bring enough?
First grocery shopping extravaganza!
Home sweet home. ALL MOVED IN!
My beautiful friends :)
First meeting with my discipler. Love her so much!
Look who came to visit from the states....CLAY CLAY!
First day back on the job. Love my co workers, they always know how to make me laugh.
Antioch. My beautiful church that I can call home and have the privilege to serve alongside
First prayer request: For me to learn what an illegal parking spot looks like....

  • To have better time management. I find myself trying to please everyone with my time lately. I really need to get disciplined and rest my body and give it a consistent schedule.
  • I'm transitioning into a new role as the project manager for the message. Prayer for this transition and that I would be able to adapt and serve in this new role well.
  • My car has had to have some work done. It has cost me more than I had budgeted for in a month. Pray for finances to come in to cover these unexpected costs. Plus the R500 parking ticket did not help matters....

  • Antioch. I absolutely love my new church! The people are absolutely beautiful. I also get to meet with my new small group leader in the morning :)
  • Community. I have been blessed with such amazing friends. They have really helped me with all the stress that comes with moving half way around the world.
  • Health. This is the first trip where I have not had major health issues when arriving in South Africa. I keep waiting for something to happen, but praise God nothing has!
