My Ethnicity Leonel Barranco

Cultural identity is being identified as a certain ethnic group or race. The ethnicity I identify myself as is Hispanic.
My "people" originated from Mexico, Central America, Spain , and much more. The Latins lived in Latium whose capital city was Rome. Their language was called Latin. The Romans invaded the Iberian Peninsula in which they found a city called Hispalis. Then the Romans named them Hispanians, which tied to Spain having hispanics. The language goes as far back as the thirteen hundreds.
The most common root language in this tradition is Spanish as still is to this day. The history of the Spanish language comes from north-central part of the Iberian Peninsula after the fall of the Western Roman Empire in the fifth century. Spanish was originally developed in Toleto and Madrid.
Some physical traits are being fair-skinned, light colored hair, and colored eyes. For example my mom and my grandma are both from Jalisco and they have lighter skin. Both my grandfather and younger brother have lighter hair and colored eyes. People say that certain regions are know to have certain traits.
The foods that are shared/typical with "our people" are Huevos con Chorizo for breakfast, Arroz y Frijoles for lunch, Tortas for dinner, Pepino con Sal y Limon for a snack, and Flan for dessert.
Hispanic art is usually murals and the person who made me appreciate art was Diego Rivera. Diego Rivera was born on December 8th, 1886, in Guanajuato, Mexico. Diego Rivera's goal was to have his art have an impact on people. But he made some controversial murals in New York City's RCA building. One of the murals was about Vladmir Lenin which was take down because he trespassed. People would go by the mural just to pick up rebel, so they can have a piece of art from one of the greatest artist.

One of the main genres of music is mariachi.
