Welcome back! I hope you had a restful break with your scholar!
As we head into our Spring semester, I'd like to take this time to underscore the importance of attendance. School attendance means more than winning an award; is has a huge impact on your scholar's performance.
For example, studies show that young elementary school scholars who miss just two school days per month often have difficulty keeping up with their classmates and have lower reading scores than their peers.
Each day, our scholars are learning and developing the educational foundations that they will need to be successful in college and beyond. At Wayside, we make a commitment to ensure each of our scholars is prepared for their future, but we need your commitment to ensure they are present and ready to learn each day.
Together we prepare college-ready, community-engaged, global citizens.

Each year, Wayside Schools hosts the Extraordinary Story Gala to raise money for our scholars. This year's event will be held March 29, 2019 at Chateau Bellevue.
