Get in the Express Lane
Abbreviated versions of commonly used SmartSets
To help make documentation quicker and easier HealthConnect has created Express Lanes. Each is an abbreviated version of a SmartSet. Same functionality. Fewer steps. Express Lanes have been tested in a few departments. Due to positive responses from those departments, we are ready to bring them to the entire region.
An Express Lane appears as an activity. The right side of the graphic displays what appears in HealthConnect if a chief complaint was previously entered.
In this release - HealthConnect rolls out two new Express Lanes: Erroneous/Oops Encounter and No Shows.
Check them out - You can find them by performing a SmartSet search. Or, you can perform a Chart Search and, from the search results, launch the desired Express Lane.
More to Come - Additional Express Lanes will be available in the near future.
Confidential Adolescent Encounter Indicator
HealthConnect process to prevent billing and notifications to guardian's KP account.
Anytime a teen (13-18 years of age) is seeing their doctor but wants to keep the visit confidential, their provider may use the Confidential Adolescent encounter indicator to prevent billing and notifications to their guardian's Kaiser Permanente account.
By following the instructions in the provided training material, an encounter can be completed and closed without generating charges, a claim, an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or any type of account holder notifications.
Adding and Annotating Images
Add images to your Notes to provide more detailed and complete documentation
The Media tab houses images imported from various sources, such as Haiku, into the chart. The documentation in your notes provides specific context to those images. Why look in two places when you can see both in one, your Notes. Click this button to access the process to import and annotate images.
Important: There are helpful tips in the job aid that provide guidance to sizing images and the order in which image related tasks are to be performed.
Vision Section on Sidebar Being Removed
The Visit section appear on the Sidebar's This Visit tab is going away for most departments.
The Vision section on the Sidebar's This Visit tab is being moved from all but the following departments: Pediatrics, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Family Practice and Urgent Care.
