  1. There is a lot of technology that was invented in the victorian Era that we still use today.The Lightbulb was invented during that era by Thomas Edison to improve inventions like the candlelight.
  2. The telegraph was also created In Victorian England that would give people the long distance communication that was needed. The telegraph would later be innovated to be portable known today as cellphones.
  3. The car was invented by Karl Benz and the passenger train invented by George Stephenson was also invented during that era that was a form of transportation. Today many people use cars as transportation while many still use the passenger trains that are in major cities.

What type of attention did these inventors receive?

  • The attention the inventors received could be seen as massive.The inventors were said to be seen in the Victorian Era as role-models. Also they were to said to receive as much attention as the all-star baseball or football players we have today here in the US.
  • They may have received some attention that was not the best for them.There were some rilvalry between two inventors like Stephenson and Brunei for whose trail tracks would be used for the trains.

  • The inventions of the era impact Victorian England in both positive and negative ways.An invention like the railroads that helped provide victorians of all classes transportation between two cities that they couldn't have because they could not afford a car
  • The inventions of the the railroads and steamboats led to canal building and a demand for steel. These jobs and demands resulted in employment for many victorians who may not have had any jobs or if they wanted one .
  • Although the car was not the safest invention of the Victorian Era . An Explosion occurred in a car that went past the Act of 1885 which stated that vehicles were not allowed to go past 4 miles per hour. The car did not do any real good to the victorian era.
  • Napoleon was a person who used the invention of the telegraph for negative purposes. He planed on using lines in his scheme to invadeEngland. He would later plan to put up lines for the telegraph in another area for the purposes.
