CRESTED BUTTE OPERA STUDIO
The Crested Butte Opera Studio provides gifted young singers and pianists opportunities to study and perform with leading opera professionals during a five-week residency at the Crested Butte Music Festival. Under the direction of the Opera Studio’s Artistic Director, Lynn Baker, participants will undergo a rigorous training program that includes forty hours per week of vocal and dramatic instruction. Students will perform roles in the Festival’s production of Verdi’s Falstaff, present an evening of cabaret, perform in concert with the Festival Symphony Orchestra and sing in public master classes by visiting faculty and guest artists.
ORCHESTRAL FELLOWS PROGRAM
The Orchestral Fellows Program is a pre-professional apprenticeship program for young musicians from conservatories and top music schools seeking to expand their musical experience and refine their craft. Last year’s fellows were current students and graduates of Curtis, Harvard, New England Conservatory, The Juilliard School, New World Symphony, The Cleveland Institute of Music, and many more.
Selected participants gained direct exposure and the unique opportunity to sit side-by-side with professional orchestral, chamber, and solo musicians in six orchestral concerts, including multiple performances of Verdi’s Falstaff with the young, professional vocalists from the distinguished Crested Butte Opera Studio. Chamber music performances and outreach are also a part of the CBMF Orchestral Fellows experience.
Fellows spend approximately 2.5 weeks gaining meaningful experience and exposure in their respective disciplines with professional musicians and artistic staff, including conductors Tito Munoz and Brian Garman.

HOT CLUB DREAM CAMP
An unheralded experience for ensemble training and performances!
