Earthmoving attachments manufacturer, Miller UK, has designed and delivered a set of bespoke Backhoe Loader quick couplers and buckets for a large-scale pipeline project. The products have been supplied to Finning UK and Ireland, which is part of Finning International – the world’s largest dealer of CAT machines, engines, equipment and power solutions.
Drainage contractor Willis Bros in Sandbach, which will soon be undertaking water pipeline construction works throughout Chester and Lancashire, contacted Finning to order a number of couplers and buckets for its CAT F2 Backhoe Loaders. Finning worked closely with both Miller and Willis to create six completely bespoke Miller quick couplers and buckets – three for its CAT 444F2 BHL and three for its CAT 432F2 BHL.
The capacity of the buckets was carefully designed by Miller specifically for this project to enable the contractor to carry out the water pipeline works as efficiently as possible by making the most out of each bucket fill to save time and money on site.
Miller’s unique quick coupler, which makes the job of switching between buckets and attachments significantly safer and quicker, was also specified with a one-off bespoke design created for Willis’ three CAT 444F2 machines.
