Title of the keynote: Philosophy and Basic Principles of International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (ENG)

Annotation: The keynote is dedicated to the work of Adolf Melezinek, the founder of the main principles of Klagenfurt School of Engineering Pedagogy and IGIP. Curriculum design and technical teacher education in IGIP are based on Melezinek’s work and will be introduced in the keynote.

Professional biography: Tiia Rüütmann graduated TUT as an engineer of chemical technology MSc in chemical engineering. She defended her Ph.D. in education (specialisation in teaching technical subjects) at University of Hradec Králové, Czech Republic in 2007. She is a member of IGIP Executive Committee and the president of IGIP International Monitoring Committee. She is the author or co-author of more than 40 peer-reviewed articles. Her recent publications are on effective teaching of engineering and on STEM pedagogy, didactics and curriculum design.

Title of the keynote: Analytical-synthetic modelling as a factor of the development of cognitive processes in the constructivist framework

Annotation: The curricular process represents the symbiosis of variability forms of curriculum, which Záškodný defines as an Attained Curriculum (the functional content on the part of subjects of education). This curriculum has a look of a learned curriculum, which is modified by recipients of education on the basis of their own experience and interests and extracurricular experience and activities. The knowledge about the curricular process, didactic communication and about their structure are shown on the analytical-synthetic models. The models represent a general inputs, which are needs for basic understanding of analytical-synthetic modelling of cognitive structures. So I decided to create an analytical-synthetic model of the educational process where I offered a global conception of education.

Professional biography: Assoc. Prof. PaedDr. Jana Škrabánková, Ph.D., is the university teacher. She is affiliated to the Department of Physics at University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. She works as a member and consultant of expert Committees at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Czech Republic. In her scientific work aimed at didactics of science disciplines, science education and education generally she deals with structuring and modeling cognitive structures and systems of knowledge. She is the author of more than 100 publications, information available here.

Title of the keynote: Současnost a perspektivy přípravného vzdělávání učitelů v ČR (CZ)

Annotation: V příspěvku bude diskutována současná situace v přípravném vzdělávání učitelů v České republice a perspektivy dalšího vývoje. V současné době poskytuje přípravné vzdělávání učitelů 37 fakult různých univerzit. Používány jsou přitom rozdílné modely přípravy učitelů. Zákon o pedagogických pracovnících dále umožňuje získání učitelské kvalifikace i mimo segment pregraduálního vysokoškolského vzdělávání. Výsledkem je značná nejednotnost a roztříštěnost přípravného vzdělávání učitelů a vzájemně nesrovnatelné kompetence absolventů. Naléhavě se ukazuje potřeba standardu učitelské profese, který by alespoň rámcově sjednotil a vymezil požadavky kladené na kompetence absolventů přípravného vzdělávání učitelů. V příspěvku budou jednotlivé modely a cesty získání učitelské kvalifikace analyzovány z hlediska potřeb současné společnosti a perspektiv dalšího vývoje.
