2016 Rewind A year in 12 photographs

Thanks for dropping by, and welcome to my quick recap of 2016. This year has been quite an exciting one for me. Firstly, I started a new venture for an art company named Colart in London, which brought me a lot of new opportunities and widens my creative horizons. Secondly, I tried a few different things photography wise, macro and underwater photography which were 2 subjects that I never experienced before and that I always wanted to do. I also improved my cityscape portfolio by shooting in 3 most of the most glamorous and electric cities in the world: Paris, London and New York. Anyway, have fun going through this short review, and feel free to get in touch. Hope you'll enjoy what's coming. Cheers.

To get in touch:

January

Beginning of the Year, A new era is soon to be started, in a month from now, I will be starting a new job in London. We are the 1st of January and looking at the sky, I feel like photographing the stars.

February

Just before starting a new job in London, my brother and I took a bit of time off together and we went skiing. I took this opportunity to grab some really keen shots of him in the air!

March

I always loved to be near the water. After a photo walk in Liverpool, I went in new Brighton shooting this beauty. I think it is one of my favorite photo of this year. Feel free to check the black in white version on 500px: https://500px.com/photo/146118723

April

At that point, it was nearly 2 months in this new job! I started feeling inspired by my daily commute and started a project documenting my journey. I also went, after work, exploring London to scout for new photographs with my old Fujifilm X100. For the past 42 weeks, I aimed to publish A photo a week under this Flickr albumhttps://flickr.com/photos/129861842@N04/sets/72157665351873130

May

There is a whole world underneath us, and it was quite magical to explore macro photography. I only tried it handheld with an extension tube and without proper lights, but I still consider that I had pretty good results.

June

In June, I took my partner to Brighton for a "hen do", and I grabbed this opportunity to capture the surroundings. I photographed this barrier going into the sea.

July

After a business trip to Le Mans (France), I called my brother and he told me he had a gig in Etretat (Normandy); he asked me if I wanted to join him. I said yes. No regrets this place is gorgeous.

I took also the opportunity to record some footage and create a short movie. Hope you'll enjoy.

August

For my birthday, my partner had a really nice surprise: a water housing. So I had to try! We eventually went to the south of France. Who would be the better person to try with than her...
