Texas A&M University-Kingsville earned its sixth consecutive victory, a 53-39 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State University Saturday afternoon.

Myles Carr, Brandon Jones and head coach Daren Wilkinson highlighted 23 Lone Star Conference postseason awards for the Javelinas. As voted on by the head football coaches, Carr received the J.W. Rollins Award, given to the Offensive Player of the Year, Jones received the J.V. Sikes Award (Defensive Player of the Year) and Defensive Lineman of the Year and Wilkinson, in just his second season as head coach, was selected Coach of the Year Friday morning. Javelina alumnus and artist Amado Pena Jr. visited our campus to talk to students about his artwork. Pena later showcased his art on violins at a fundraiser for the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra. Check out the video above to look at Pena's visit to Texas A&M-Kingsville.
