Undoubtedly your work is valued by the people who use it now. However it is more fundable if there is evidence of accessibility and wider value – would people of different genders, ethnicities, sexualities, age groups, disabilities feel welcome and valued?

Does your work respond to local improvement plans, a health and social care integration strategy, to Government policy? Has there been academic study or media investigation of the subject you are tackling?

Tapping into these can give your work weight and credibility alongside your own monitoring and evaluation. Gather quotes from all sorts of people as well as up-to-date statistics. Sometimes you may have people who would like to help but can’t be physically active – why not get them doing research and press cuttings?
