Latinos In Action Annual Sponsor Breaksfast

Latinos In Action (LIA) held its Annual Sponsor Breakfast Tuesday, February 7th. We were glad to welcome so many people committed to empowering our Latino youth.

Jorge Fierro, owner of Rico Brands, generously hosted the event at his restaurant Frida Bistro located at 545 W 700 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.

The chef at Frida Bistro prepared a wonderful breakfast consisting of chilaquiles, bacon, eggs, fruit, churros, with coffee, milk, and orange juice.

José Enriquez, CEO and Founder of LIA thanked everyone for their presence and invited Valeria Jimenez, Luis Rodríguez, and Victor De Lara, LIA graduates, to share their experiences in the program.

Britney Davis, Director of Educational Partnerships at LIA, and Nancy Miramontes, Regional Program Manger, explain how LIA works, and how we measure results.

Burton Rojas, Director of Development at LIA, presents Jorge Fierro a gift from LIA for his kindness in hosting the breakfast and welcomes Jorge as an honorary member of LIA.

Jorge Fierro, Owner of Frida Bistro and Rico Brands, impressed upon the attendees the importance of education as a means to success.

Jorge Fierro gives a tour of the Rico Brand warehouse and shares information about the Burrito Project.

Dulce García Benjamin introduced LIA students who performed "La Negra", a Mexican folk dance.

Members of LIA and invited guests enjoyed casual conversation during the meet and mingle after the breakfast.

Dell Loy Hansen, owner of Real Salt Lake, pledged his support for LIA and shared his vision for the Latino community in the Salt Lake area.
