NAU Track & Field gears up for its second home meet of the 2017 season: the Lumberjack Team Challenge.

Last week at Friday Night Duels, the biggest highlight came from redshirt-junior Brooke Andersen, who broke the NAU women's record in the weight throw event
Andersen was named the "Big Sky Women's Field Athlete of the Week" on Tuesday. She currently ranks No. 1 in the Big Sky this season and fifth all-time on the conference rankings.

In fact, after their performances last Friday, six NAU athletes sit atop their events in the Big Sky rankings

The 2017 Big Sky Preseason rankings were also released earlier this week
The men were selected as the unanimous No. 1 team with 12 first-place votes and 144 points overall.
The women were pegged at No. 2 in the conference with three first-place votes and 119 points.

The Lumberjack Team Challenge will begin at 8 a.m. with field events. Track events will start at 10:30 a.m.
