Somewhere between the light Cas Slagboom | Photographic Wanderings 09-2019

Reading, sketching, making photographs, writing, sharpen my technical skills: this artistic research is the intense but fascinating road to my artworks. In these virtual wanderings I like to share with you some of my visual explorations, thoughts and experiences along the way.

What I like to do most: Leave the house, choose a direction, and walk into this dream that we consider reality. There may be no obvious beauty in what I see. But I need beauty. It is a deep felt urge to find it. So I make photographs and create art. Just to let it make sense.

Strings of gravity vibrate at a different frequency than strings of light.

Roy H. Williams

"Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious."

Stephen Hawking

"This morning, a new light occurred to me."

If the world could remain within a frame like a painting on the wall, I think we'd see the beauty then and stand staring in awe.

Conor Oberst

When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator.

Mahatma Gandhi

What I saw today will be another world tomorrow.

Thank you for watching.
