The European Heritage Project monthly Newsletter - September 2018

2018 is the year of the European Cultural Heritage. So we thought we could conclude this in an Erasmus+ project.

The objective of the project is to appreciate our cultural heritage, take responsibility for it and enhance common European values to become better European citizens. The project also aims at promoting high-quality skills and competences: especially language skills, ICT and music competences.

We are 5 partners:

  • Fundación Institución Cultural Domus - Spain
  • Istituto Comprensivo di Porto Viro - Italy
  • Szkola Podstawowa im. T.Kosciuszki w Mstowie - Poland
  • Scoala Gimnaziala Numarul 5 - Romania
  • Cihangir Ortaokulu - Turkey

In September we attended an Erasmus+ meeting in Madrid.

We have been chosen among many projects, only 42% were accepted. We are 173 coordinators in Spain.

We created a web for our novel "El Lazarillo de Tormes". Lazarillo will be an important character in our common play.

We also informed parents about the project in several meetings.

With this video we'd like to introduce you to the Spanish teachers' team:

Finally the news arrived in September! the new Erasmus + project was approved and now we could start working with our European colleagues.

The news was first transmitted to the new headteacher - dott.ssa Passatempi and to the colleagues of the music and theater departments.

We have carefully evaluated the requests of the project and we decided to propose a famous book of the Italian litterary tradition: "Arlecchino servant of two masters" By Carlo Goldoni.

Then the pupils of the second and third grades of the lower secondary school were informed about the composition of the partnership and together with them we have made the short video: it is a kind of "work in progress" as it will be enriched with materials such as photos and movies after each mobility.

In September, we formed a team of teachers involved in the project

The project was presented to parents in the first parent's meeting and our students were informed about the project.

A literary work "Revenge" by Alexander Fredro was chosen.

We also established the criteria of selecting students.

In September we announced that our project was accepted and we started working with our project teachers.

The first task was choosing right students for this project.

We shared a survey at our school’s website and students answered questions about their English, drama, using technology and playing instrument. Then they shared videos about themselves.

One of them:

In September we announced the project through social media.

Also we formed the project team and we informed parents and students about the project in several meetings.

We attended an Erasmus+ meeting organized by our National Agency.

With this video we’d like to introduce our school and project team:
