4th/5th Grade Pup Running Registration
Pup Running is a Carmel school-based youth running program that is committed to encouraging fitness among elementary age children through the sport of running. Through fall cross country and spring track seasons, Pup Running strives to develop positive character qualities in students as they train and compete in cross country and track races—qualities like: Good Health, Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Discipline, Perseverance, and Best Effort.
Registration is now open for the SPRING track season! It is online only and it must be done by March 26 - there is no late registration!
Our Carmel Elementary Pup Running Club is being coached by parent volunteers Matthew Baller, Rebecca McGuckin, Kevin Hetrick and Diane McAndrews. The cost is $17.00 with Carmel Elementary Team Pup Running t-shirt; $10.00 without a t-shirt.
Practices will be immediately after school, until 4:00 pm:
- Tuesday April 9 and Thursday April 11
- Tuesday April 16 and Thursday April 18
- Tuesday April 23, Tuesday April 30 and Tuesday May 7

The PTO Needs YOU!
From Valentine's Parties to teacher grants, the Carmel Elementary PTO provides broad support to the students and staff of our school. There are several ways you can help in the PTO, many of which take very little time commitment.
Please consider supporting the PTO in whatever way you are able to. The interest form linked below provides a brief description of the PTO committees which need parent volunteers.
Kindergarten Registration and Building Tours
We are registering kindergartners for the 2019-20 school year! We will also be hosting brief building tours for incoming kindergartners on the following Fridays at 9:00 am: March 8, March 22, April 12 and April 26.
We will kick off the start of our 2019 Flower Sale next Friday! Please be on the lookout for information to come home with your child.
Once orders start to come in, we have to count the money and tally the orders. Take a peek at the shifts available and sign up where you can.
Volunteering at School
As a reminder, any parent or guardian who wants to volunteer at class parties, field trips, after school events, etc. MUST have a current background check on file with CCS. These are good for 5 years and are valid at all Carmel Clay Schools.
Using PowerSchool on Your Smartphone
The Powerschool Portal App that is available on the app store is the "lite" version of the website and doesn't show all the features the site has to offer. Follow the instructions below to add the PowerSchool Parent Portal website to your Apple or Android phone's home screen and have access to everything the parent portal has to offer!
Indiana Dept of Education
The IDOE has developed thesethree-minute videos to share with parents and educators about assessment systems and transitions to support assessment literacy.
Food Service is Hiring!
Carmel Clay Food & Nutritional Services is hiring Food Service staff to work in our school cafeterias. Currently, we have several 4-6 hour positions available, paying $12.97/hour.
