Topics Covered this Month
On September 13th CATC Students launched our BRAND NEW curriculum to our Student Ministry. During Covid-19, Pastor Scott and some Life Group Leaders wrote curriculum for our Student Ministry to start using in our Life Groups.
This month we will be talking about:
- October 4th- How can I know that I am saved?
- October 11th- Is Jesus the only way to Heaven?
- October 18th- Is it okay to struggle with God?
- October 25th- Is it okay to doubt God?
Email Pastor Scott if you would like a complete run down of the passages we are using and material we have written.
Dodgeball Outreach Event
October 28th we will be having our Third Annual Dodgeball Tournament here at Church at the Cross. The Dodgeball Tournament will start at 6pm and we will offer a Middle School and a High School Division.
We are offering the Dodgeball Tournament as a way for Students to invite friends to church and hear the Gospel. If your student is interested in participating click below for the Roster Sign Ups and Medical Release Form.
Here are a few Resources:
Pastor Scott has start a book club for Parents in CATC Students. The books that are recommended can be read at your own pace. Pastor Scott will offer a video recap and a zoom meeting at the end of every month. The books recommended have been read and recommended as a resource for your family.
Septembers book was Raising Disciples by Natalie Frisk. Below is the link to watch Pastor Scott's Recap being released on October 5th.
October's Book Club Book
During October our focus is on prayer and examining our prayer life. During COVID-19 Pastor Scott read Dangerous Prayers by Craig Groeschel and he has chosen that book for this month's book. If you would like to join Pastor Scott to discuss it please email him.
Axis is a great resource we are recommending for Parents. Axis puts out a weekly email (Culture Translator Premium) on Fridays that helps Parents and the Church learn about what teenagers are watching, learning, and trending with on social media. Axis is a huge win for the family. The link is: axis.org/ctp-signup .
