2nd Grade Families Welcome to West Elementary Picnic

On Friday, August 16, 2019, our 2nd Grade Families joined us for our Welcome to West picnic. Thank you to all the families who attended. We had a great time eating a picnic lunch, enjoying the beautiful weather, and visiting with friends.

Congratulations to Abril M. for Graduating EL Classes! We are proud of you.

6th Grade Band and Chorus

Sixth Grade students began Beginner Band and Chorus this morning at Cullman MIddle School, Band, and East Elementary, Chorus. Sixth grade students can bring their bus permission form this week and start on the next day. Bring the Bus Permission Forms to your Homeroom Teachers.

September is Attendance Awareness Month

We will be emphasizing the importance of attendance during the month of September. It is critical that students are at school to not miss on the instruction that occurs each day. We will have our first Attendance Hero Period from September 2 through September 27, 2019. Students that are at school for every minute of every day during September will be rewarded as an Attendance HERO. An Attendance HERO is Here, Ready, Everyday, On time. Students will receive an Attendance HERO t-shirt and a token to use in Dr. Page's Treasure Tower.

Monday, September 1, 2019 - Labor Day Holiday, No School

Grandparents Day in the Outdoor Classroom

Friday, September 6, 2019 - Grandparents Day. Third (3rd) Grade students will host their grandparents in the Outdoor Classroom.

Friday, September 27, 2019 - Fall Picture Day.

Liberty's Legacy Program for 2nd Grade Students

Friday, September 27, 2019 - 2nd Grade Students at East Elementary for the Liberty's Legacy Kickoff Assembly Program. Liberty's Legacy is a civic organization that promotes the characteristics of being a good citizen. East and West Elementary School 2nd Grade students participate in this program. 2nd Grade Teachers will teach one lesson each week focusing on a theme of being a good citizen. Students learn the traits and ideas of citizenship as well as nominating a local Super Citizen for the end of the semester assembly in December.
