I hope you have all had a lovely week holiday. The children were all very excited to be back in school on Monday and we have had a busy week. They all have missed each other and were pleased to see their friends again.
Our new story is 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. We have been having some fun with using different voices to be the different bears.
In maths we have been matching quantities to numerals by giving the bears 'food' in their bowls according to how much they ask for on their note. This has been tricky but we will continue practicing recognising the numbers.
In our reading and writing we have been having lots of fun retelling the story with props.
'BANG!'
Lots of discussion around fireworks and bonfire night has been happening. We've been kept on our toes with surprise bangs and booms from the children. Our team, The Rainbow Finders, have been enjoying watching out for the different colours fireworks make and expressing this on paper with powder paint.
This week the outdoors has been a very popular choice. We have spent time working on our communication skills with our teachers and friends outside.
And here is a little snapshot below of some of our other activities this week. Enjoy!
