As an Emergency Placement Partner (EPP) for The Humane Society of the United States, Humane Society Naples was called to assist with a large-scale neglect hoarding case from Arkansas.
Humane Society Naples took in three dogs from this case named Pixie (8-years-old), Petunia (2-years-old) and Socks (1-year-old). They all are in treatment for Demodex and putting on weight as they originally were emaciated.
HSN Director of Operations, Patrice Worcester, drove to Sarasota on July 30 to pick them up. The three dogs were housed in Arkansas for one month to recover from their ordeal before we took them into our care.
They all need a bit of socialization, but overall are very sweet dogs that are currently overcoming fear & opening up more and more each day to unconditional love. They just need a caring home to finish their recovery and start on a better chapter in life.
